Kevin is a very likable eighth grader except he lies all the time. In this book he sets a lot of goals for himself. He wants to get out of a school project. He wants to help his aunt with her financial problems. He wants to help his friend with his hypochondria. And he wants to get a girl to like him. Remember he lies constantly, so he tries to accomplish all of his goals by lying. You'll need to read the book to see how things turn out for Kevin.
