 Joe Stoshack is 12 and his family is always short of money. He finds an extremely rare Honus Wagner baseball card while cleaning his next door neighbor's attic.  Then he has to make a choice, should he return the card or sell it for half a million dollars.  

He talks to his mom, his dad, and a baseball card dealer.  They give conflicting advice.  He also talks with Honus Wagner.  Yeah, the same Honus Wagner pictured on the card and who has been dead for 40 plus years. You probably wonder how he managed that.  Well, you'll need to read the book to see how he manages to chat with Honus and to find out what he decides to do with the card.

Joe Stoshack, aka Stosh, is a thirteen year old baseball fanatic.  He's also a time traveler.  See when Stosh holds a baseball card he is transported to whatever year the card is from. 


In this book, part of a series which you can read in any order, Stosh decides he needs to save Roberto Clemente's life.


Time travel is easy for Stosh, he just holds a card and whosh, time travel.  The hard part comes when he gets there. 


Instead of being taken straight to Roberto, Stosh lands at the Woodstock Music Festival of 1969.  So now Stosh has two serious challenges, finding Roberto and convincing him to not get on the plane that ends his life.   Will he be able to find Roberto and will he be able to convince him to stay off the deadly plane?
